Matt Milano

Overall Rating: 80

Position Rank: T-15th among outside linebackers

Matt Milano is coming off a down year due in large part to injuries but when he was on the field, he played well and showed just how important he was to this defense. Milano has developed into one of the best coverage linebackers in the NFL and among outside linebackers he was tied for the highest man coverage rating at 67 and second in zone coverage at 71.

Those ratings weren’t enough though to move him up any higher than tied for 15th overall among outside linebackers with an overall rating of 80.

The one thing that likely held Milano back, and kept him lower in the rankings within his position, is the fact that outside linebackers in 3-4 defenses appear to have been rated higher. Just ahead of Milano are players like Bradley Chubb, Jason Pierre-Paul, Josh Allen, Matthew Judon, and Bud Dupree who are primarily edge rushers in their respective defenses.
