Josh Allen is coming off a career year with the Buffalo Bills, one that included setting multiple franchise records and finishing runner-up in the MVP voting. Even though Allen has improved every year he has been in the NFL when a player makes that type of jump it opens the question of whether or not there will be some regression moving forward.
If the first two practices at training camp are any indication, Bills fans should not have to worry about that.
Since training camp is being held at Buffalo Bills facilities, there have been no fans in attendance, and reports are limited to what journalists and members of the media are able to share.
However, the general consensus has been that Josh Allen looks just as good as he did last season. The Athletic’s Matthew Fairburn tweeted that this has been the best two-day stretch of practices for Allen, who is entering his fourth season in the NFL.
It’s always hard to quantify these things in training camp, but this feels like the best two-day stretch of practice I’ve seen from Josh Allen. The offense has gotten off to slow starts in past camps. Allen and Company have hit the ground running the last two days.

Josh Allen even impresses the newest Buffalo Bills wide receiver
The Buffalo Bills didn’t make many changes on the offensive side of the ball this offseason outside of the addition of Emmanuel Sanders. The veteran agreed to a one-year deal with the Bills and has already been impressed by his new quarterback.
"Josh made a throw today that I haven't seen... It was crazy. Mouth dropped and I've been in the league 12 years."

Here's new #Bills WR giving early praise to Josh Allen.
I'll add that Sanders has played with Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees. pic.twitter.com/ll1UZHQCac
As Jon Scott notes, this is high praise considering the other quarterbacks that Emmanuel Sanders has played with. During his time in the NFL, he played with Hall of Famers (Peyton Manning will be inducted next week) and two players who are likely going to find their way there in the coming years (Drew Brees, Ben Rothlisberger).
There is always the chance of over-hyping a player’s performance in training camp. However, when looking at some of the reviews from the media combined with a strong statement from a veteran wide receiver like Emmanuel Sanders, it seems unlikely that Josh Allen is going to be heading for any kind of regression this season.
