Buffalo Bills fans are not cool with Stefon Diggs being the 4th-best wide receiver in the latest Madden ratings.

Madden ratings have been getting more and more newsworthy every year, and this year may just be the biggest. Coming out of the pandemic 2020 season, anticipation for the NFL and the new Madden Ratings are at an all-time high. The Madden ratings crew is usually pretty good, however: Davante Adams is not better than Stefon Diggs. Bills fans let their displeasure be known on Twitter.

Adams has a 99 overall to Diggs’ 97. When comparing their side-by-side stats (you’ll have to manually input these two in the site’s comparison tool), you’ll see what often separates them is less than 4 points for most categories. The highest difference in a position-related skill is in their respective catch rating (Diggs 93, Adams 99).

How is it possible that Adams is the only wide receiver in the 99 club when the NFC North has been ridiculously easy for the longest time? The Green Bay Packers have had a stranglehold on the division for the last 30 years. In the time Adams has been around, teams like Detroit and Chicago have had some of the worst defensive secondaries in recent memories.

PSA: Madden ratings crew, you must get Stefon Diggs in the 99 club

I am not sure how the receiving yards leader from last year doesn’t get the top rating at his position. Before it gets brought up, yes, Adams had 18 touchdowns in 14 games last season.  But 11 of those touchdowns came from within the division (5 against Minnesota combined).

Compare this to Diggs, who had 7 total 100-yard games last season. In those games, only two of them came against divisional opponents. The other games he went for 100+? Take a look below:

Denver was a terrible team, but other than that, the rest of this list all had teams that were playoff qualifiers or deep in the playoff race.  Not to mention Diggs vastly outperforming Adams in the playoffs last year in terms of yards.

Do I need to say any more on this subject? Madden ratings are just part of a video game, but Buffalo Bills fans have the right to be upset. Hopefully, when there is an update, they will make the change accordingly and have Diggs ranked over Adams.
