The Buffalo Bills this offseason did surprisingly well in bringing back a majority of their key free agents. It isn’t surprising that these players wanted to return but general manager Brandon Beane certainly had to get creative.

The big names certainly were linebacker Matt Milano, offensive guard Jon Feliciano, and offensive tackle Daryl Williams. However, they also were able to re-sign players like Levi Wallace and Isaiah McKenzie that will be key contributors over the course of the season.

While the Bills did bring back a number of players, they weren’t able to retain everyone. There are four players in particular that they may look back on this offseason and regret not re-signing. I take a look at these players and rank the ones the Buffalo Bills will miss the most.

Number 4: Corey Bojorquez

The first player on this list is the starting punter from a season ago as the Bills didn’t re-sign Corey Bojorquez and instead signed free agent Matt Haack. As for Bojorquez, he did find a new home and is competing for the starting job with John Hekker on the Los Angeles Rams.

This past season Bojorquez had the best season of his career and led the league in average yards per punt with 50.8. There was never any denying that he had a strong leg but the questions came down to accuracy.

One area that Haack is a clear upgrade is in terms of touchbacks as last season he finished with a touchback percentage of 2.94% compared to Bojorquez who had a touchback percentage 17.07%. If the Bills offense continues to be as effective as they are, a player like Haack, who doesn’t have the leg strength but is a little more accurate, would be a good fit.

However, the Bills do give up a player like Bojorquez who can flip the field when the Bills are backed up in their own end and that is something that will be missed.
