Buffalo Bills Franchise Record: Passing Yards

Jim Kelly’s Record: 35,467 passing yards

Josh Allen Current Total: 9,707 passing yards

Jim Kelly is the clear franchise leader in passing yards as he has nearly 8,000 passing yards more than the next person on the list, Joe Ferguson. He had over 3,000 passing yards in eight of his 11 career seasons. In today’s NFL, these are not big passing yard totals but during that era it certainly was.

As for Josh Allen, this past season he surpassed 4,500 passing yards and really took that next step as a passer. He has always shown to be athletically gifted and a threat to run with the ball, but defenses were forced to respect him throwing the ball.

If Josh Allen can average 4,000 passing yards each season, which isn’t unrealistic considering 12 quarterbacks surpassed that total last year, it would take Allen just under 6.5 seasons to pass Jim Kelly in this category.
