It’s time to expand this list for the greatest Buffalo Bills by jersey number.

Instead of going five at a time, the series will now be switching over to cover more ground in each post. As I was researching this article, a lot of familiar names came across as well as some all-timers did too.  Thurman Thomas and Mark Kelso make their appearance along with some other names you may have forgotten.

Included on this list is another Division III player, a handful of players that had more than one position during their time with the Buffalo Bills. There were even instances where a certain number has been worn less than 10 times in Buffalo’s history. Additionally, the list reveals another “bad luck” number as most who’ve worn it only spent one year with the team.

Thanks again to Pro Football Reference’s Uniform number history tool. The link will be included here so you can explore all of these at your leisure. Also, all stats are provided from PFR unless otherwise noted or linked.
