WR6: Isaiah Hodgins

Isaiah Hodgins generated a lot of buzz during minicamp this offseason, and as training camp approaches, many Buffalo Bills fans are wondering if he warrants all the hype he has received.

Hodgins was drafted in the sixth round by the Bills in the 2020 draft out of Oregon State, but missed his entire rookie season.

He had shoulder surgery back in December but is ready to go for training camp this summer. If Hodgins can manage to stay healthy in 2021, his goal should be to make a leap forward like he did in his last two seasons at Oregon State.

Hodgins produced solid numbers in his last two seasons in Corvallis, catching 147 passes for 2,047 yards and 18 touchdowns. 13 of those touchdowns came in his final season. His 6’3 210lb build makes for a big target, which may give him an advantage over the much smaller Isaiah McKenzie.

If Hodgins continues to impress during training camp, there is a very real chance he could make a run at the number five receiver position on the depth chart.

However, for now, he will have to work his way up from the number six spot and hold off Marquez Stevenson in order to make the final roster.
