Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last meeting: Buffalo Bills won 30-27 (10/22/2017)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be back in full force in 2021. The defending Super Bowl champions will be returning all 22 starters from the team that won it all back in February.

The story of Tampa Bay’s 2020 season was their offense, which was led by longtime Bill killer Tom Brady. The Buccaneers scored the third most points in the league last season and finished seventh in total yardage.

Although the offense garnered all the headlines for Tampa Bay in 2020, their defense shined on the brightest stage, stifling the Chiefs’ offense.

The Tampa Bay defense was brilliant all year, not just in Super Bowl LV. They finished eighth in the NFL in points allowed and sixth in yards allowed. They should be just as effective in 2021, given that the entire unit is returning.

The Buccaneers went 11-5 in 2020, finishing behind the Saints in the NFC South. With the Saints losing their quarterback, the Falcons on the verge of a rebuild, and the Panthers depending on Sam Darnold, the Buccaneers are the clear favorites in the division, and should not have a problem winning the NFC South.

The Buffalo Bills and Buccaneers will meet in a much-anticipated matchup in Week 14. If both teams live up to their expectations, it should be a Game of the Year candidate. There are few teams in the NFL that are more complete than the Bills; the Buccaneers are one of those teams. Bills fans should be excited for what could be their last chance to beat Tom Brady.
