For the first time in a long time, there aren’t many questions at the quarterback position. The Buffalo Bills have their franchise quarterback in Josh Allen and an experienced back up in Mitchell Trubisky behind him.
The third quarterback position though is one to watch and whether the Bills want to keep a third quarterback on the roster. If they do, the battle will come down to Jake Fromm, who was a fifth round pick last year, and Davis Webb, who has been with the Bills since joining their practice squad in 2019.

As Matt Parrino detailed in his article, Webb is interested in coaching and when considering the Buffalo Bills did not bring back Matt Barkley, having a voice like Webb’s in the position room could be a benefit for Josh Allen.

The questions will grow though if the Buffalo Bills only keep two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. In this scenario, they would likely try to retain Jake Fromm on the practice squad and would be unlikely to keep two quarterbacks on the practice squad.
