Are the intangibles that Davis Webb brings enough to stay with the Buffalo Bills?
For the first time in a long time, there aren’t many questions at the quarterback position. The Buffalo Bills have their franchise quarterback in Josh Allen and an experienced back up in Mitchell Trubisky behind him.
The third quarterback position though is one to watch and whether the Bills want to keep a third quarterback on the roster. If they do, the battle will come down to Jake Fromm, who was a fifth round pick last year, and Davis Webb, who has been with the Bills since joining their practice squad in 2019.
Webb is an interesting player because he is unlikely to start but he has intangibles that seemingly make the team better. Matt Parrino at syracuse.com wrote an article back in April detailing just how valuable Davis Webb is to the Bills.

Davis Webb spent the entire season on the Buffalo Bills practice squad. He was called up to the active roster in Week 16 against the New England Patriots but was inactive for that game.
Expectations for the 2021 season with the Buffalo Bills
The most likely scenario for Davis Webb in 2021, if he remains with the Buffalo Bills, will be on their practice squad. As Matt Parrino detailed in his article, Webb is interested in coaching and when considering the Buffalo Bills did not bring back Matt Barkley, having a voice like Webb’s in the position room could be a benefit for Josh Allen.
The questions will grow though if the Buffalo Bills only keep two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. In this scenario, they would likely try to retain Jake Fromm on the practice squad and would be unlikely to keep two quarterbacks on the practice squad.
