Of the three players listed here, Cody Ford would certainly bring back the most in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is a player that would likely generate the most interest from the Steelers as well because he has experience at both offensive tackle and guard.

Ford started his career with the Buffalo Bills at right tackle and made 15 starters there. This past season he was moved inside to guard and made seven starts before seeing his season cut short due to injury.

The challenge may be that the Bills are not ready to move on from Ford quite yet. They drafted him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and really only have one season of tape to evaluate him.

It is tough to say whether or not Ford can be the starting guard in a season with no offseason workouts or preseason games. He stepped into the position with limited practice time and then saw it cut short by injury.

The upside though is something that the Bills could sell in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They also could afford to move him now with players like Forrest Lamp, who was a 16-game starter for the Chargers last year, on the roster.

In the end, it might be too early to move on from Cody Ford but it certainly wouldn’t be surprising if the Pittsburgh Steelers at least ask about the former second round pick.
