The toughest defense the Buffalo Bills are likely to face this season is unfortunately the first one they face when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the 2021 season. The Steelers have a long history of hard-nose defense dating back to the days of the Steel Curtain.

While this group may not be on the same level as that historic defense, this is still a very good defense. Last year, the Bills won 26-15 but had only one offensive touchdown with the other touchdown being scored by Taron Johnson on a pick-six.

The Steelers did lose Steven Nelson, who is a free agent, this offseason but still have some premier defensive playmakers with players like T.J. Watt, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Cameron Heyward. In this matchup they would also likely have their starting linebacker, Devin Bush, back as he missed the previous matchup due to injury.

The Buffalo Bills offense will be looking to build off an excellent season last year but they will face a very tough challenge right from the start with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
