While Tom Brady and the Buccaneers offense gained most of the headlines on their way to a Super Bowl title, the defense really improved as the season went on and did a good job containing the Chiefs offense in the Super Bowl.
One of the reasons was their ability to put pressure on the quarterback with rushers like Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaquille Barrett. This didn’t stop them from continuing to add to the position and added Joe Tryon with their pick in the first round.
However, they have playmakers at every level and have arguably one of the best linebacker duos in the NFL with Devin White and Lavonte David. The Bucs also have a young, ascending safety duo with Antoine Winfield Jr. and Jordan Whitehead.
If there is a weakness, and this is something the Buffalo Bills could exploit, it’s on the outside at cornerback. The challenge is can the offensive line give Josh Allen enough time in the pocket to find the open wide receiver. If they do, the Bills could find success against this defense.
