The Best Buffalo Bills players to wear 21-25
The Best Buffalo Bills player to wear #23: Antowain Smith
Antowain Smith was the Buffalo Bills 1st-round draft choice in 1997. He came on strong for the Bills, earning over 1,000 total yards from scrimmage in his first two years. He’d be with the team until the 2001 off-season where he would sign with the New England Patriots and help Tom Brady get accustomed to life in the NFL. Smith is also famously known for being the guy who high-stepped onto the field as Adam Vinatieri’s kick went through the uprights.
Smith beat out Marshawn Lynch for the top spot by a few hundred yards, but Smith had 26 touchdowns compared to Lynch’s 17. Another honorable mention was Kenneth Davis, who was a first-round draft pick by the Green Bay Packers.
Davis ended up playing for Buffalo from 1989 to 1994. His 545 receiving yards are second only to Lynch, and his dual-threat ability helped the team on their four consecutive Super Bowl appearances. Here is the rest of the list of players who wore #23.
