The best Buffalo Bills player to wear #22: Fred Jackson
An undrafted free agent out of Division-III Coe College, Fred Jackson made his way to the Buffalo Bills after multiple stops in different leagues across the United States and Europe. His college totals measured up to 4,054 career yards 47 touchdowns. 1,702 yards and 29 of those touchdowns came in his senior year. He was inducted into Coe College’s Hall of Fame in 2017.
When he finally got on the field for the Buffalo Bills, his best season came in 2009 when he would break the 1,000-yard mark for the first and only time in his career. When Jackson went to Seattle for his final season in 2015, he finished with over 5,600 yards and 30 touchdowns for Buffalo.
These numbers helped put him past Nate Clements and Steve Freeman, both cornerbacks who ironically had the same number of interceptions (23) during their time in Buffalo. Click here for the rest of the list.
