Best Buffalo Bills player to wear #8: Brian Moorman, Punter

Punter. Pittsburg State (Kansas). player. 16. . . Brian Moorman. 8

Brian Moorman was signed by the Buffalo Bills in 2001. Moorman would have a great tenure with the team, including hitting a career-best 84-yard punt in his second season with the team. In 2007, he was the second-highest paid Punter in the league after receiving a $10M dollar extension. He punted his way to 42,867 yards for his career while earning two Pro Bowl and All-Pro rosters.

What most people remember Moorman for is the 2006 Pro Bowl where the late Sean Taylor of Washington blew him up on a fake punt run. This is when the NFL actually still allowed big hits like this, and you can hear the impact of the hit through the stadium.

Greg Gumbel and the rest of the crowd there can be heard in awe of the absolute monstrous hit that Taylor delivered. After being cut in 2012, he had a short stint with Dallas before re-signing and playing one final season in 2013 before he’d retire.  Other players to wear this number are Billy Cundiff (oof) and Neil O’Donoghoue.
