Terry McLaurin

The first big test for Tre’Davious White comes in Week 3 when Washington comes to Buffalo to face the Bills. However, it remains to be seen if White will be asked to cover Terry McLaurin, one of the better receivers in the game.

The reason is that McLaurin spent most of last season in the slot and while he is their best receiver, White would not travel inside to cover him. As a rookie, McLaurin had 58 receptions, 919 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns. However, those numbers increased to 87 receptions, 1,118 receiving yards and four touchdowns last year.

The move inside certainly helped his production but with Washington adding Curtis Samuel and Adam Humphries this offseason, two players who also excel in the slot, it would make sense for Terry McLaurin to move back outside.

If that does happen, the matchup between Terry McLaurin and Tre’Davious White will be a battle between two of the top players at their position.
