Best Buffalo Bills players to wear number 4: Stephen Hauschka and John Kidd

So there was a tie for this one, as the number 4 is far from illustrious in Buffalo Bills history. Stephen Hauschka and John Kidd tied for this one. The reason is they weren’t the greatest at their positions, but they sure did beat out the rest of the crowd. Names like Tyler Thigpen and Brian Brohm were easily forgettable.

Kidd played for six years for Buffalo as a punter, with over 950 career punts and almost 40k yards off those punts. Meanwhile, Hauschka was the team’s kicker from 2017 to 2019 and hit 73 of 89 total field goal attempts for a percentage of 82.0% Hauschka’s inability to hit field goals of 50 or more declined during his time in Buffalo, and that’s why he’s tied for this number 4 spot.

There also was the “Matt Darr effect” that also played a role in his accuracy problems toward the end as well. Hauschka was also infamous in Seattle for missing extra points (10 of them) when they used to be attempted with the ball on the 2-yard line. Talk about yikes.
