Best Buffalo Bills player to wear number 2: Steve Christie, Kicker

Number 2 is way more interesting than its predecessor, with names like current kicker Tyler Bass, Dan Carpenter, and the infamous Nathan Peterman (we’re not going to talk about that). Steve Christie stood out immediately and was a part of the two Super Bowl games that the Bills played against the Dallas Cowboys.

Christie went 234/299 in his making an astonishing 78.3% of his field goals with the team. Surprisingly, he never earned a trip to the Pro Bowl. Looking at his field goal percentage, his lowest one came in his final year with the team in 1999, with 73.5%. Even as frustrating as that can be, there are definitely players who’ve been on teams for longer and done way worse.

PFR has Matt Haack wearing #2 as well, so someone between Haack and Bass will have to change. If Bass ends up spending his career with the Buffalo Bills, then I would put my money on him to overtake Christie for this top spot.
