Field goals early primed offensive explosion for Buffalo Bills to survive in OT vs the Minnesota Vikings.
In a game that featured nine lead changes, and the first one on this list to go to overtime, the Bills survived a 45-39 game against Minnesota. Neither team had any interceptions, but there were a total of 7 fumbles between the two teams in this game. Minnesota had five of them alone, losing three. Drew Bledsoe threw for over 450 yards and three touchdowns and got help from his special teams. as they took a house call back after a Randy Moss score.
The Bills also recovered a fumble in the endzone to complete the scoring cycle from all three units. What made this game into a scorigami was the fact that Vikings kicker
missed two extra points late in the game.
This would prove costly as the Bills hit on a long 54-yard field goal as time expired to send the game in overtime. After a missed field goal by Buffalo, the next drive is where Bledsoe would
shoot the flaming arrow into the floating ship
when he found Peerless Price for a 48 yard-game winner through the air. This game also still would’ve qualified as there hasn’t been a 39-39 tie in the league yet.
Bills record so far: 5-3-1.
