Eric Ebron (PFF rank: 25th)

The first player that Dawson Knox should be ranked higher than is Eric Ebron with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a breakout year in 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts when he had 66 receptions, 750 yards, and 13 touchdowns.

However, since that season he has struggled to produce close to that and has only eight receiving touchdowns the past two seasons, one with the Colts and one with the Steelers.

There is no question that Ebron has more opportunities in the Steelers offense than Knox as he had 91 targets and 56 receptions but averages only 10 yards per receptions. As for Knox this past year he had less than half the amount of targets (44) and receptions (24) but did more with those targets as he averaged 12 yards per reception and had three regular season touchdowns, which is only two fewer than Ebron.

Eric Ebron had the bigger stat line but there is a case to be made that Dawson Knox was more efficient with the opportunities he got.
