Buffalo Bills: Pinpointing the three biggest trap games in 2021
Buffalo Bills trap game #2: vs Houston Texans, Week 4
As a rematch of the AFC wild-card game in 2019, Deshaun Watson broke the hearts of Buffalo Bills fans to end that game. At this point, who knows if he’ll even be playing come game time given all the legal issues that have gone on. Will it be their newest QB, Davis Mills? Houston signed a handful of seasoned vets to make sure the floor doesn’t fall out this year.
Buffalo leads the series against Houston (10 games), with 6 wins.
Let’s not forget this Texans team made the Tennessee Titans kick a game-winning field goal as time expired in the final week of the season when there was nothing to play for in Houston. It’ll be week three when this matchup happens, and seeing how new Texans head coach David Culley will coach will be interesting as his career as a passing game coordinator was definitely not the best, and almost infamous in Baltimore.
The location of this game is what makes it a true trap game for the team. After starting the season with Pittsburgh, Miami, and Washington consecutively, this game is just sort of hidden by the other games before it. This is the final game of the first four of the season, and if the Bills can win all of these games, then it will cushion themselves if they take one on the chin against Kansas City and Tennessee.
