Cornerback
Levi Wallace vs. Dane Jackson
The one position battle that is the most intriguing entering training camp for the Buffalo Bills on defense is at cornerback. The starting job opposite Tre’Davious White has seemingly been an open competition for three straight years now with Levi Wallace being in the mix each of those seasons.
At times Wallace has shown he is more than capable to be the starting cornerback but has never been able to fully grasp the job.
This year though the training camp battle is going to be a little different for Wallace as he has typically been competing against a veteran but he is now the veteran as he will compete with Dane Jackson for the starting job.
Jackson was a seventh round pick by the Buffalo Bills last year and spent most of the year on the practice squad. However, he did play in five games with two starts and looked good in limited action.
While the Buffalo Bills would like to have one player earn the starting job they could find themselves in a similar situation towards the end of the year where they rotated cornerbacks at the position with Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson splitting snaps.
