A.J. Klein

The next player who could be on the bubble is linebacker A.J. Klein. The former Carolina Panther and New Orleans Saint joined the Buffalo Bills last year and played a big role in the second half of the year. The team was without Matt Milano during this time and Klein stepped in and played very well.

This offseason the Buffalo Bills were able to bring back Matt Milano but also brought in additional depth with the signings of Marquel Lee and Tyrell Adams. Both linebackers have starting experience and could be the veteran option that replaces A.J. Klein.

When considering they also have Tyler Matakevich and Andre Smith, two players who are special teams contributors, roster spots may be limited at linebacker. The Bills also could save about $1.2 million this year against the cap by cutting Klein and this could play a role in who they keep at linebacker.
