Buffalo Bills 2021 Schedule: 3 games that would be better early in the year
New Orleans Saints
The last team may be a bit of a surprise because the New Orleans Saints are still a very good team. They were a playoff team last year and should remain near the top of the NFC this season.
However, they have some questions that need to be answered early and they are a team that could get off to a slow start. The biggest is who will replace future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. The franchise quarterback retired after this past season and Sean Payton will need to now determine whether it is Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill replacing Brees.
The other reason this matchup would benefit the Buffalo Bills early in the season is that the defense is expected to rely on a number of rookies. The Saints had a good draft and added players like Payton Turner, Peter Werner, and Paulson Adebo who will replace veterans like Trey Hendrickson, Kwon Alexander, and Janoris Jenkins.
This is a lot of turnover on the defensive side of the ball and with how well the Buffalo Bills offense plays, they could take advantage of this in an early season matchup.
