Buffalo Bills 2021 Schedule: 3 games that would be better early in the year
The 2021 NFL schedule is set to be released on May 12th and while the Buffalo Bills have known for awhile now who they are playing, they will finally find out when they are playing.
When it comes to an NFL schedule, the when is almost as important as the who. There are slight advantages that the Bills could gain by playing a team early in the NFL season compared to the end.
After looking at the opponents for the Buffalo Bills in 2021, these are three games that would be better for them early in the season versus later.
New York Jets
The first team is the New York Jets, who the Buffalo Bills will play twice this coming season as they are both in the AFC East. Ideally, it would be that the away game would take play early in the season for the Bills but either game would be a benefit.
The reason is that the New York Jets are entering this season with a significant overhaul of their roster and in particular at key spots. They will have a new head coach, Robert Saleh, who replaces Adam Gase after being defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers.
The Jets also are expected to have a rookie at quarterback with Zack Wilson, who was selected second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. He will have to get on the same page with his new receivers like Corey Davis, Denzel Mims, and Jamison Crowder, while also learning the playbook and the speed of the game in general.
This is a team that could get better as the season goes along and the Buffalo Bills would likely benefit from playing them earlier rather than later.
