The Buffalo Bills have such a potent offense. But the run game…oof.

With as close that the Buffalo Bills got to Super Bowl LV last season, they were quite unique in how they arrived at the AFC Championship. Their aerial assault was their main way of attacking defenses, and you can’t really blame them. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. That’s all fine and dandy until it becomes a problem for general game strategy.

We know the basics of how a pass-first offense can wreak havoc against the clock when in the lead when passes are incomplete. It also gets on the nerve of your defense after a while too. Three things are holding the running game back for the Bills, which will be discussed on the following pages.

These are ranked in no particular order, as they all contribute equally to the underwhelming production from the last few seasons. So let’s get into the first reason on our list of what’s wrong with the Buffalo Bills run game.
