Free-agent running backs that would help the Bills: Todd Gurley

Second on this list is Todd Gurley, the former St.Louis/Los Angeles Ram, and Atlanta Falcon. Gurley is much younger than the aforementioned Peterson, as he is 27 years old. However, many are seeing Gurley as a guy who is washed up after the very heavy usage he got with the Rams on their way to their appearance in Super Bowl LIII. Some may say that he suffered a Michael Turner-like workload.

Gurley had a minimum of 220 carries in each season he was a Ram, and his leg injury in week 1 of the 2018 season led some to think that it bogged him down and ultimately was the reason the Rams only put up 3 points in their Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots. And after a down year with the Falcons, Gurley could still contribute to the Bills.

He would be an exciting 1-2 punch behind Singletary and/or Moss, and he still has a nose for the endzone, scoring 9 TD’s last season. Gurley has also been proficient as a receiving back, totaling over 2200 receiving yards and 12 TD’s in his six-year NFL career.  If the team doctors pass him on his physical, it wouldn’t hurt to bring him in on a cheap deal.
