Richard Sherman

The first player is Richard Sherman who earlier this season was on an episode of The Cris Collinsworth Podcast with none other than general manager Brandon Beane. Sherman was very complimentary of the Bills and certainly sounded like he would be interested in joining the team if given the chance.

At one time, Sherman was one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. While he may not be at that level anymore, he is still a very good cover corner. The past three seasons he played for the San Francisco 49ers and since 2018 he has the second-best coverage grade among cornerbacks according to Pro Football Focus.

The question for the Buffalo Bills is if they are able to fit him under the salary cap and he could demand a contract that they can’t afford at this point of the offseason. The other concern is how much he has left as he is 32 years old and is coming off an injury-plagued season where he played only five games.

However, at a minimum, he is a player that would be great to have in the locker room as an experienced player who has been where they want to go and that is a Super Bowl. He has made it to three Super Bowls in his career (two with the Seahawks, one with the 49ers) and helped win Super Bowl XLVIII.
