Winners: Devin Singletary/Zack Moss

Without question, the running backs on the Buffalo Bills roster were some of the biggest winners. There was plenty of speculation that the Bills would add another running back, most likely as high as the first round with Clemson’s Travis Etienne being a potential target.

However, Etienne would end up going 25th overall and the Bills wouldn’t have the chance to draft him, if they were even targeting them. Brandon Beane after the NFL Draft was asked about his comment about wanting a home-run hitter at the position and he said that the comment was a little overblown.

While all the running backs certainly benefit from the Bills not adding another player to the mix, Devin Singletary and Zack Moss certainly benefit the most. These are two players who were atop the depth chart this past season and saw almost all of the work. These two running backs combined for 268 of the 290 rushing attempts the running back position had during the regular season.

This certainly sets up an intriguing training camp battle between these two running backs but for right now, they should both feel good about their place on this team.
