Round 5, 161st overall: Shaun Wade, CB (Ohio State)

While it would have been great to see the Buffalo Bills address the cornerback position earlier, this is a position that the team appears to believe they don’t need to. The past few seasons they have been one of the best defenses in the league without a top cornerback opposite Tre’Davious White.

They do have Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson who should compete for the starting job this season but a player like Shaun Wade could be that answer after this season. Wade is a player that was a top prospect entering college but he never reached that potential at Ohio State.

The issues are something that can be corrected with more coaching but what he does that can’t be taught is great size at 6’1″ and 197 pounds for the position. If he can work on some of the weaknesses, he could be a starter for this defense in the coming years.
