Philadelphia Eagles

In the same breath where Devin Singletary could provide great depth to the Bears, he could also help Miles Sanders and the Philadelphia Eagles.

When healthy, Sanders has the skillset to be one of the best running backs in the league. Unfortunately, he has not been on the field enough to do so. Appearing in just 12 of the 16 games in 2020, the Eagles had to rely on Boston Scott (374 yards) and then-backup QB, Jalen Hurts (354 yards) to carry the load at times in the season.

Behind Sanders or in his starting role when injured, Singletary alongside Hurts would be a lethal weapon in the Eagle’s RPO offense. With Hurts being a threat to run outside the pocket at all times, Singletary would be provided opportunities to really hurt defenses if they bite on the option. This would give him time and space to get into the open field. Additionally, Singletary could, like the Andy Dalton scenario, give Hurts a ‘safety blanket’ out of the backfield if Zach Ertz, if he remains with the team, or Dallas Godert are covered.

For Philadephia, a team that ran the ball on average 25 times a game for 2,027 yards, Singletary’s skillset could help them lead the league.
