The Buffalo Bills are entering the 2021 NFL Draft with a wide range of positions that they theoretically could target. This is not because they have a number of glaring needs but because the roster is so well-rounded that the focus should be on getting younger and adding more depth.

When looking at the positions and the needs of the Buffalo Bills, there are some that make sense as being early targets. These are positions that may not have great depth or a specific player that can be an impact player.

An example of this would be cornerback, where there are a number of players at the top of this class that could be starters as rookies. When considering the cornerback position is one of the weaker positions, it would make sense for the Buffalo Bills to use one of their picks in the first three rounds on that position.

This doesn’t mean that on Day 3, there aren’t players who can make an impact. This past season the Bills saw Day 3 picks like Gabriel Davis, Tyler Bass and Dane Jackson all have success as a rookie. This year, there are three positions that the Buffalo Bills should wait on until Day 3 that could still make an impact as a rookie.
