Buffalo Bills 2021 NFL Draft: 5 players to target in the first round

Another position that could use some additional help is at defensive end. The Buffalo Bills didn’t get much of a pass rush from this group last year and with older veterans like Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison, adding a young pass rusher could help.

The trouble with this position is that there is no clear-cut top pass rusher or a player who looks like they could step in right away as a rookie. This is a position that has players in later rounds who specialize in one area and could develop into a starter that would be a better fit.

If the Buffalo Bills do want to select a pass rusher in the first round then Michigan Kwity Paye is the right fit. The challenge with Paye is that he wasn’t highly productive at Michigan with only 11.5 sacks but he has the size and explosiveness to be a good pass rusher and eventually a starter on this defense.
