Danielle Hunter
On the defensive side of the ball, the Buffalo Bills should be going into the 2021 NFL Draft looking to improve the defensive end position. This year’s class has a number of edge rushers who have promise but there aren’t many that teams could expect to be a starter right away as a rookie.
One player who could be available, but would likely require them to trade a high draft pick, is Minnesota Vikings’ pass rusher Danielle Hunter. He is a player that sat out all last season due to a neck injury but also is rumored to be looking for a new deal and the Vikings may not be in a position to offer that which makes a trade a potential option.
Hunter has played five seasons in the NFL and been very productive with three seasons with 12 or more sacks. He also has never finished with fewer than six in a season, which would have been a team-high for the Buffalo Bills last year.
He also would not be a short-term fix at the position as he is only 26 years old. This is a player that the Buffalo Bills could add and have the position set for the foreseeable future with Hunter and A.J. Epenesa.
