2. Pat Freiermuth

After Kyle Pitts, it seems that the consensus is that Pat Freiermuth is the best tight end in this NFL Draft. The Penn State tight end isn’t as athletic as Pitts but is a little more well-rounded in terms of run blocking. It still isn’t a strength but is probably something that can improve as he develops.

Freiermuth started out with two great seasons for the Nittany Lions with 15 touchdowns in 2018 and 2019. However, this past season Freiermuth only played four games before suffering a shoulder injury that ended his season.

While watching a player Pat Freiermuth, he is someone that could fit fairly well within this offense. He is a player that can stretch the field but is more of a red zone threat, and this is one area that the Buffalo Bills leaned on their tight ends last year with Dawson Knox and Tyler Kroft combining for six receiving touchdowns in the red zone.

A player like Pat Freiermuth is someone that the Buffalo Bills could add that doesn’t need to be the focal point of the offense but when the tight end is someone that can attack a weakness of a defense, he would be a great weapon.
