Buffalo Bills 2021 NFL Draft: Ranking the four best fits at tight end
4. Kyle Pitts
Starting off these rankings is University of Florida tight end Kyle Pitts and in terms of talent, Pitts is by far the best tight end in this class. He brings a unique blend of size and speed that can transform an offense. He has so much athleticism that there is the thought he could even play some wide receiver.
However, for what the Buffalo Bills are looking for he doesn’t necessarily fit the need. If the Bills were to draft Pitts, and this would also likely mean they had to trade up as far as probably the Top 10 and would require future first round picks, he would probably be the second passing option in this offense behind Stefon Diggs.
The way Brian Daboll builds an offense, he certainly could maximize Kyle Pitts and what he brings in terms of his skill set. The issue is when considering the Bills are also hoping to improve the run game, Pitts is below average as a blocker. He also probably is a player that teams wouldn’t want blocking because it minimizes his impact.
There is no question that Kyle Pitts is the best tight end but when considering draft capital, and what the Buffalo Bills would want from a tight end, Pitts is fourth on this list.
