Devin Singletary

The next player on this list is Devin Singletary, who was a third round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2019. He had an excellent rookie season but struggled to improve on that season this past year. He had 687 rushing yards, 269 receiving yards, and two total touchdowns. Singletary would finish with 13 fewer yards from scrimmage while playing 91 more snaps this past season.

The 30th overall pick is a spot in the NFL Draft where potentially the best running back could still be on the board. When considering they don’t have many glaring needs on the roster, it is possible the Bills believe there is just too much value to pass up at this point.

If the Bills were to select someone like Najee Harris or Travis Etienne the position becomes very crowded with Singletary, Zack Moss, and free agent addition Matt Breida at the top of the depth chart.

The Buffalo Bills have typically kept only four running backs on the active roster and with Taiwan Jones back as a special teams specialist, this leaves only three remaining spots. If the Buffalo Bills don’t believe Singletary fits on the depth chart, he could be an intriguing option for a team looking for a running back. He is still young, under contract for two more years on his rookie deal, and showed he can be productive.
