Kadarius Toney, WR (Florida)
If the Buffalo Bills make a selection in the first round on the offensive side of the ball, the expectation is that it would be either a running back or tight end but a player like Kadarius Toney may be too good to pass up.
The former University of Florida wide receiver is a unique player that long-term can develop into a good slot receiver but as a rookie can contribute as a gadget player. The Buffalo Bills have found success with players like this, utilizing Isaiah McKenzie in this role the past few seasons.
If they were to select Toney he would be deployed in a similar fashion. However, again this selection would be more for the long-term and the Bills would view Toney as the eventual replacement for Cole Beasley. While the team’s starting slot receiver is coming off a career year, he is going to be 31 years old and with only two years left on his deal, the front office should start thinking about potential replacements.
A player like Kadarius Toney could make an already good passing attack even more explosive with his speed and agility at wide receiver.
