Jayson Oweh
Another defensive end who could be a target for the Buffalo Bills in the first round when they are on the clock at 30 is Penn State pass rusher Jayson Oweh. He is one of those players that a team is going to fall in love with his athletic ability and not worry too much about the lack of production he had while playing for the Nittany Lions.
There is no question that he is incredibly gifted and Relative Athletic Score graded him at 9.92 out of 10. He is the second highest graded defensive end in this year’s draft class thanks to a 4.37 40-yard dash, a three cone time of 6.9 and a vertical of 39.5.
The biggest concern, and why the Buffalo Bills should avoid him, is he is on the smaller end for defensive ends at only 257 pounds. He also didn’t rack up the sacks with only seven over three seasons with Penn State. If the team wants to draft a defensive end in the first round, it needs to be a player who is a little bigger and has more of a balance of physical skills and production.
