Buffalo Bills Defensive Tackles

Starters: Star Lotulelei, Ed Oliver

Bench: Harrison Phillips, Vernon Butler, Justin Zimmer, Brandin Bryant

Similar to the defensive end position, there isn’t much change at the position outside of the return of one-tech Star Lotulelei. The team’s starter missed last year due to the pandemic but should be a big boost in terms of run defense as well as allowing Ed Oliver to play more three-tech. This should give Oliver a much better chance to break out in his third year in the league.

The depth also is very good here with Harrison Phillips, Vernon Butler, and Justin Zimmer as the primary backups. However, the coaching staff could have a tough decision when they need to start cutting down the roster.

The Bills have typically kept only four defensive tackles on the active roster and if they continue that trend this coming season it means they will need to cut one of those three.
