The Buffalo Bills didn’t make any big splashes in free agency but focused on bringing back their own players and improving the depth at key positions. While the team could continue to add players over the next month leading up to the NFL Draft, the initial rush of free agency is coming to an end.

This is now a good time to review who the Buffalo Bills have under contract on the offensive side of the ball and what the depth chart might look like at this point. This could give some indications on what general manager Brandon Beane might target in the NFL Draft.

Buffalo Bills Quarterback

Starter: Josh Allen

Backups: Mitchell Trubisky, Jake Fromm, Davis Webb

The biggest change at quarterback is who will be backing up Josh Allen this coming season. There was some thought that Matt Barkley’s time with the organization had come to an end and that became a reality with the Bills signing Mitchell Trubisky to a one-year deal.

The question now is who is the third quarterback between Jake Fromm and Davis Webb. As for Fromm, he was a fifth round pick last season but was designated as the emergency quarterback and didn’t see any playing time during the regular season and limited practice with the active roster.

They also have Davis Webb, who has been with the organization for a few years now with most of his time spent on the practice squad. At this point, it would make sense to keep Fromm as the third quarterback and try to sneak Webb back onto the practice squad.
