This is going to be the fifth NFL Draft with Sean McDermott as head coach of the Buffalo Bills and the fourth for general manager Brandon Beane. Over the years, the belief is that they have done a very good job finding talent in every part of the NFL Draft. This is one of the reasons the Bills roster is one of the best in the league.

However, what is the positions that the Bills have invested the most in during this time frame? This can’t just be answered by looking at the total numbers of players at each position but where they are selected needs to be taken into account.

One way to answer this question is with the NFL Draft Trade Value Chart. This chart is often referenced when teams discuss either moving up or down in the NFL Draft and assign a point value for each draft pick. I have used this chart and totaled the point value where each player was selected and totaled it by position to determine which positions have had the most draft capital invested.

For the sake of this article, I have not taken into account any trades the Bills may have made to get to the spot to select these players but rather just the point value for that particular place in the NFL Draft where those players were picked.
