Sixth Round (213th Overall): Pooka Williams, RB (Kansas)

Seventh Round (236th Overall): Jaelon Darden, WR (North Texas)

When the Buffalo Bills are on the clock in the sixth round the top-rated player was Pooka Williams, which at this point in the NFL Draft wouldn’t have made much sense. They had already selected Najee Harris in the first round and with Devin Singletary, Zack Moss, and Matt Breida on the roster this would not leave much room on the roster or a role in the offense for Williams.

However, in the seventh round, the Bills have Jaelon Darden as the top-rated prospect which is an intriguing pick for this team. Darden is an explosive player with incredible speed and this past season had 74 receptions, 1,190 receiving yards, 19 touchdowns, and an impressive 16.1 yards per reception.

While he would have trouble finding snaps on offense, the way he could contribute very early in his career would be as the potential replacement for Andre Roberts. The Buffalo Bills are going to be looking for their primary returner on kickoffs and punts this offseason and Darden has experience in both while at North Texas.
