Matt Breida

If the Buffalo Bills want to split the responsibilities and create competition for being the primary punt returner with Micah Hyde, then on kickoffs running back Matt Breida may find himself in that discussion.

Breida was signed as a free agent this offseason after last season with the Miami Dolphins and three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers prior to that. He doesn’t have a great deal of experience on kickoffs, with only five to his name, but he has incredible speed and is a threat in the open field.

This could also benefit Breida if he were to win the job as the Buffalo Bills last season only had three running backs active most weeks with Devin Singletary, Zack Moss, and Taiwan Jones. If Breida were to win this job, he could also find some additional work on offense.
