Micah Hyde

If the Buffalo Bills elect to split the responsibilities between multiple players, then Micah Hyde may find himself in the discussion for being the team’s primary punt returner. The team’s starting safety has the most experience in terms of career punt returns with 91 career punts for an average of 9.3 yards per punt and three career punt returns for a touchdown.

However, a majority of those punt returns came early in his career and while he was with the Green Bay Packers. He has only had 15 punt returns over the past four seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

The other thing the coaching staff will need to consider is whether or not they want to put Micah Hyde in this situation. He is a key part of this defense and is half of one of the best starting safety duos in the league with Jordan Poyer. The idea to open Hyde up to more injury risk doesn’t make much sense with some other options available.
