Buffalo Bills: 4 Alabama prospects to target in 2021 NFL Draft
The last Alabama prospect to highlight is linebacker Dylan Moses. Initially, I thought that drafting a linebacker was off the table once the Buffalo Bills re-signed Matt Milano, but there could still be a chance.
Given the fact that A.J. Klein has a potential out in his contract after this season, the Bills could be in the market for a strong side linebacker in the 2021 NFL Draft. It’s unlikely, but no one should rule out any possibility when it comes to Brandon Beane. At 6’3″ and 240 pounds, Moses is an extremely athletic linebacker with range, but he has the body of a traditional hard hitting linebacker.
Moses tore his ACL in 2019 which contributed to his draft stock falling a bit this year, but he also didn’t bounce back with a strong 2020 season. Moses has all the physical tools to be a legit linebacker at the next level, but he has shown some difficulties in processing speeds. If he could make his reads a bit faster, his athleticism would pop from the linebacker position.
The combination of his injury and some average play in 2020 could make Moses a day three pick. If he falls far enough he could be an enticing option for the Buffalo Bills to groom for a year behind Klein. Then this could allow the Bills to play a true 4-3 defense with Edmunds, Milano, and Moses as the three linebackers in 2022.
