Round 4

C/OG. 106. Pick Analysis. player. 2377. . Wisconsin Whitewater. Quinn Meinerz

Entering the 4th round, this is the first of the two picks that I received from the trade back in the 1st round from the Jacksonville Jaguars. At 106th overall in the 4th round of this mock draft, I selected Quinn Meinerz. Meinerz is an interior offensive lineman with positional flexibility to play both guard and center.

Meinerz played at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, meaning he doesn’t have much publically available tape and didn’t play against the highest level of competition in college. However, during his week at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, Meinerz showed he was more than capable of competing against high end collegiate talent. He didn’t just compete though, he actually dominated some reps at the Senior Bowl.

Yes, the Buffalo Bills did re-sign Jon Feliciano this offseason, but fans and the team shouldn’t be content with the offensive guards. Given the struggles of the Bills rushing attack in 2020, people were expecting improvements to the offensive line this offseason. As of right now, the projected offensive line from left to right is Dawkins, Ford, Morse, Feliciano, and Williams. Although this offensive line didn’t play many snaps together last year they were all on the roster last year, so it will be interesting to see how they do this year.

Additionally, Cody Ford has struggled to stay healthy and be a consistent blocker when he is healthy. Meinerz can come in and immediately provide insurance, depth, and competition to both guard spots and even center.
