As the first wave of free agency passes us by, the Buffalo Bills are getting their roster ready for the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. For the most part, the Bills have done their best to retain their own while trimming the fat.

In a year with a reduced salary cap, the Buffalo Bills were going to have to make some tough decisions. Luckily they were able to agree to terms on salary cuts for three players, Mitch Morse, Mario Addison, and Vernon Butler. That still wasn’t enough as the Bills had to cut John Brown and Quinton Jefferson in addition to the salary cap created from those pay cuts.

After creating some more cap space, the Buffalo Bills re-signed Matt Milano, Daryl Williams, and Jon Feliciano. It was assumed to be out of the cards entering the offseason that the Bills could re-sign all three key free agents.

Although the Buffalo Bills haven’t made a big splash in free agency, they have still made some under-the-radar moves. These moves include the signings of Emmanuel Sanders, Jacob Hollister, Matt Haack, and Mitchell Trubisky.

As a 23-year-old Buffalo Bills fan, I have never remembered a time when the Bills were entering the draft without glaring needs anywhere on the roster. Don’t get me wrong, there are still areas for the Bills to improve in the draft, but in prior years it has been much more obvious and this is a great problem to have.

Below I will be using the Pro Football Focus Mock Draft Simulator to run a seven round mock draft based on the current Buffalo Bills roster after the first wave of free agency.
