The Buffalo Bills have had a great offseason due in large part to being able to re-sign players from last year who were free agents. The return of Matt Milano, Daryl Williams, and Jon Feliciano helps keep most of the starters from last year’s division championship team in place for next season.

Even with all the players the team was able to re-sign, there are still a number of players who are free agents that would make sense for the Buffalo Bills to try and bring back. These are players who may not be starters but if the need arose could step in as a starter and contribute.

These are the three players that general manager Brandon Beane should try to bring back this offseason.

Last year, the Bills signed Josh Norman to a one-year deal after he was released by Washington. The hope was that returning to Sean McDermott’s defensive scheme, which he played in during his time with the Carolina Panthers, could help him bounce back after a few down years in Washington.

While he didn’t return to being an All-Pro like he was in 2015, he certainly helped this defense at times throughout the year. He would end up starting only three games but by the end of the year, and in the playoffs, was splitting snaps pretty evenly with Levi Wallace.

This year, the hope is that Dane Jackson can win the starting job and be the long-term answer. However, if he struggles then having a player like Norman, who knows the defense well, is a former starter, and likely would not command a big contract, could be a valuable part of the secondary.
